BRAND NEW STUFF ADDED TO THE SITE!
- Miranda's journal is now moved from the bottom of the main page (where many of you couldn't find it) and is now in an easier blog format. Find it in the left hand menu on the main page.
- Miranda has been busy doing a few non-music related projects. You can find photos and commentary about those projects under the "Paintings" link and the "Furniture and Carpentry" link.
- We've gone in and edited some old blogs of Miranda's adding some photos. Check out Miranda's canoe trip (blog entry August 6, 2005) and some photos of her rooftop garden (blog entry July 17, 2005)
- We're working on getting some photos from Miranda's last trip to India posted in her blog. Look for that later on this week!

TWO ONTARIO SHOWS CONFIRMED
I did a few shows after I got back from India; secret ones that you would have found out about if you were reading my mind.
But I want to make sure you know the current plan, without guessing it. I've decided that I'm not going to be doing a lot
of shows UNTIL this new album is out. It's a work in progress, and I'm taking my time with it because I've never had to write
an album quite like this one before. So if you scroll down, you'll see that I have only two shows so far on the radar this
year.

MORE NEW UPDATES ON THE SITE...
Guess what!! All you wonderful folks that have been emailing me and wondering where the wedding stuff are now vindicated!! Eliza and I did a large chunk of work this weekend and are happy to announce that the following things are now finished....

- TORONTO: HOME SWEET HOME (commentary is FINALLY done, with large pics)
oh. and we fixed a few typos in the "dangerous writing" section too.
I just finished hours of writing for the introduction of the Indian wedding so..... that should hit the site in a week or so. The rest of the commentary and 70 + photos are scheduled to be up before we leave for India in 3 wks..... so hang in there a little while longer. I swear... i'm writing a book. You will know what I mean when you see it.

Site Updates & New Concert
The photo page is getting finished, along with commentary! The following sections are ready:

There's limited space at this venue, so you'll want to call in advance. That's also the only way you'll get the real address! (It's like a fun treasure hunt with a folksinger as "prize." The show starts at 7:30 PM and there's no dinner provided with this one, unlike most of the other houseconcert events, so be aware that you won't be fed. There's a 10.00 door cover (or special pre-arrangement bargain with FUR if you are very very poor, for real. She may be able to help you out a little bit) Her phone is 773 572 6028 and you must call her in advance, before coming.

Wow! News! And lots of updates to the site!
eliza and Miranda have been working countless hours for weeks, making the site easier to figure out. Get a load of all the mustard yellow! People were writing us saying they couldn't find stuff, so we dummy-proofed everything. Yellow is your passport to active link fun!
Here's a list of all the new stuff as of 8 PM April 22.
1. Obviously, we have a new home page!
It's easier to get where you need to go. Finding where those MP3's are hanging out ain't like trying to track down a million dollars in 3 hours anymore. You can order CD's through Maple music with one easy click (something you guys with slow computers are totally relieved about!) And look at all those lovely Black and White photos with explanations of what's in each section!
2. Dangerous Writing:
A new introduction page and four new links spanning 2002-2005, with the ability to check out the older archived poetry. This should entertain you for hours.
3. Our brand new contact page… more endearing, more friendly.
Finally, after 4 years, we have a few links up…And, if you want to send snail mail, or book Miranda for a gig, this is the page to check out.

NOTE FROM MIRANDA
Dear everyone,
It's 3 am in the morning, and i'm getting ready to head to the airport
for a flight into North Carolina, but i feel like i should write a
little bit and tell you what's been happening around here. It's been an
exciting week.
I don't know if you noticed yet, but eliza added about 100 or so new
thumbnail photos into the photo gallery, some of which i still need to write
commentary for. I've just finished the writing for "making 7 deadly
sins, the booklet" for those of you who are curious about the
"realness" of those photos. We've also finished getting the book-list
up; about 50 or 60 favourites in various categories... check them out if
reading is your thing.
I'm continuing to gear up for an extensive spring and early summer tour
through the United States...check out the tour dates, which will
continue to be updated and details will follow shortly.
I'm going to be on the Mike Bullard show (the Canadian version of sat.
night live, i guess) on Feb. 5th. You can get free tickets for the
taping of the show, which happens around 6 pm, or you can watch it
nationally on your television sets once the clock strikes midnight.
Mark Abraham and Rob Pirsin, who played bass and drums on the 7 deadly
sins disk, is going to be backing me up. I'm hoping to convince Mark to
wear the kilt he dons when playing with "enter the haggis" (a band to
check out if you like wild celtic music)
Toronto's hit music station Mix 99.9 held a songwriting competition not
too long ago, and i ended up being chosen as the third place winner.
This was very fine indeed, for the money i won will be mostly going to
my landlord, my bell canada phone bill, and my gas tank... apparently
there were about 1200 entries... and surprisingly, the song that won was
the title track "7 deadly sins". You can send the mix 99.9 some email
if you want to continue hearing the song played on the air... who knows?
maybe they'll play it some more. go to www.mix999.com look in the left
hand side bar for "request mix music" and then ask for 7 deadly sins by
Miranda Stone. Perhaps a few of you Toronto locals can do some
grassroots damage.
Meanwhile, the CBC radio has been supporting the new disk. Avril Benoit
at "Here and Now" played four tracks on her show about a week ago, and
we have been asked to get disks to the other libraries that service this
very fine national radio gem. You can go to www.cbc.ca to find out more
about this station.
The CD release is on Feb 20th, in Toronto at the Rivoli (334 Queen St.
W) The very lovely Mary Simon will be playing some of her songs at 9
pm, so don't be late!! Tickets are 8 dollars. There's little time left
to get advance tickets, and i am thinking that you may not want to wait
until the minute you walk through the Rivoli doors to think about
that.... i think it's going to be a full house, so please call 416 469
1821. They can be sent to your door if you order early enough, and a map
is included.
Getting the CD will now be cheaper and easier for Candians AND
Americans...All the albums are going to be carried on the net by
maplemusic.com starting Feb 1st. 2003
